AMD to announce new energy efficient Athlon II X2 processors

Reportedly, AMD is planning to announce couple of new CPUs based on energy efficient design. The new processors are all dual core versions of Athlon II X2 family. The new processors are Athlon II X2 250e (3GHz) and 245e (2.9GHz).


In addition, AMD will also introduce two new single-core Sempron chips based on Sargas core.

The Sempron 145 is clocked at 2.7GHz. No word on clock speed of Sempron 180.

All the processors have 45W of TDP.
