Word on street has it ASUS is preparing two new notebook computers based on Intel's Calpella platform. Dubbed as ASUS N82JV-VX020V (14") and N61JA-JX008V (16"), the two new laptops are targeted towards mobile professionals. Interesting thing about these machines is that both are equipped with USB 3.0 ports, which would help transfer files in no time!
Other features include 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, 1366x768 resolution display, Wireless, Bluetooth, Ethernet, 6-cell battery, and Windows 7.
In addition, the 14-inch N82JV-VX020V features NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M 1GB graphics which makes use of NVIDIA Optimus technology, enhancing battery life. On the other hand the 16-inch N61JA-JX008V desktop replacement features powerful graphics card in the form of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 1GB.
The N61JA-JX008V and N82JV-VX020V are expected to reach Europe in mid-April, each costing $1,405.
