Samsung introduced its most powerful Android phone to date, the Samsung Galaxy S. Powered by Android 2.1, the smartphone boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz processor , a 5-megapixel camera with HD video capture and is the first phone with Samsung’s new Smart Life user interface.

The Samsung Galaxy S will be powered by a 1GHz processor, and shoots 720p HD videos with its integrated 5-megapixel camera. There’s also a front-faced VGA web camera. The phone’s camera offers Auto Focus, Self shot, Action shot, Add me, Stop motion, Cartoon shot, Smile shot and Panorama shot.
The Samsung Galaxy S supports a full range of audio and video formats; including MP3G4, H.264, H.263, H.263Sorenson, DivX HD / XviD and VC-1 video codecs, and 3GP (MP4), WMV (ASF), AVI (DivX), MKV and FLV video formats, as well as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, OGG, AMR-NB, WAV, MID, AC3, IMY, FLAC and XMF audio formats.
The phone will also be supporting Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n when it comes to connectivity. Additionally, the Galaxy S comes with the Layar Reality Browser for some augmented reality fun as well as Exchange ActiveSync integration. Potential buyers will also get to choose from 8GB and 16GB versions of the Galaxy S, and there’s also a microSD memory slot with support for up to 32GB cards.
